Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and now residing between France and New York, Krystle Warren has been coveted by those who have seen her live and held dearly by audiophiles who respect her creative process for obsession to analog and personal artistry. Warren has toured with the likes of Green Gartside, Robyn Hitchcock, Joan As Police Woman and Rufus Wainwright. She's also headlined through Australia, the UK and EU. Top all that with an invitation to perform in the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival in 2013, where she sang "Miss Celie's Blues" from the film, The Color Purple.
Warren's debut album, "Circles" was released to critical acclaim in 2009. She performed the album's title track on the BBC's, "Later... With Jools Holland". What followed in in 2011 was the ambitious double album, "Love Songs". Recorded over the span of thirteen days, featuring twenty-seven musicians performing live, "Love Songs" was heralded by The Guardian as, "surely one of the best albums of the year."
This year, Warren releases her third album, "Three the Hard Way". Working with producer-engineer, Ben Kane, (D'Angelo, "Black Messiah), this time Warren is featured on every instrument. "It's a celebration of Black Music - gospel, blues, work song," Warren muses. "I grew up Southern Baptist, with an incredible choir at church... I began learning the language again. It's always been a part of me."
